Appointed by the landowner, the project commenced with a detailed site analysis and the development of proposals for a series of contemporary dwellings to replace an existing bungalow on an overgrown plot. Planning consent was subsequently secured for three detached homes with associated landscaping.

The brief required one dwelling to be designed for the landowner’s future occupation, resulting in a lift-accessed home of individual character set back from the roadside. The two dwellings fronting the street respond more directly to the local character and architectural vernacular.

All three homes feature Cotswold stone facades, reflecting the materials and distinct character of this Cotswold village.
