The Pool House was designed as a contemporary interpretation of the modernist Alveston Leys development, set at the heart of a Warwickshire village.
Created for a young and growing family, the house is built from Danish handmade bricks by Randers TEGL* and wrapped in copper cladding. The upper volume appears to float above the lower ground floor, which is set naturally into the landscape.
This distinctive approach creates a spacious, open-plan family home, carefully oriented to track the sun throughout the day. The result is a light-filled environment where growing children can play freely, and adults can enjoy a relaxing space.
Through its colour, texture, and scale, the building responds sensitively to its mature, landscaped setting.
