Planning permission for a contemporary, high-specification, private residential property in the Warwickshire village of Pillerton Priors was granted in August 2017.

Spatial planning for the project, together with the quality of the architectural design and materials, were commended by the local authority.

Design cues for the project were taken from the plot’s open environment and position, on the edge of the village, overlooking open countryside.  The timber framed building will have an agriculturally inspired form and structure and will be wrapped in a zinc and charred or treated timber cladding.

All construction materials for the new home are to be of the highest quality and the building will incorporate the latest sustainable heating and cooling technologies.  Highly glazed facades will maximise solar gains and provide uninterrupted views across the surrounding landscape.  The home will blend into the hillside location, its boundaries a local stone lias wall and light enhancing clerestory glazing.

Construction to begin early 2018.
